Thermoplastic marking application
MMI capabilities boast an expansive diversity to accommodate any roadway and parking lot with thermoplastic application(s), in both long and short-line capacity
Thermoplastic pavement marking material, used primarily on roadways, is an alkyd-based material applied in a typical thickness of 90 mils with reflective glass beads applied for visibility enhancement.
Preformed thermoplastic pavement markings are used primarily for various pavement messages and, applied by preheating the pavement surface to initiate a strong bond. Final application result is a typical thickness of 120 mils. Designations as approved by the VDOT are Type B, Class I for alkyd-based thermoplastic and Type B, Class IV for preformed thermoplastic.
