Pavement marker installation
Reflective pavement markers are an additional directional guidance to pavement markings on many roadways.
Presently, the VDOT has converted the type of marker from a steel cased as used for many years to a plastic cased marker. Both type markers are inlaid into asphalt by a grooving and epoxy process however, the current plastic inlaid marker requires a 7-foot long groove allowing sufficient advance reflectivity to motorist.
